Here are some need to know facts to start playing along!
Meridian is on earth some time in the future.
It is one of 7 cities on earth
The cities exist in terraformed pockets of atmosphere after a catastrophic climate event ravaged the earth.
The 7 cities all exist on one long strip of land north to south, spanning several thousand miles. Travel between is difficult but manageable.
We know about the cities of Meridian, Evergreen and Horizon
Mars is colonized
No other planetary travel/life exists. Only Mars, Earth, and Moon
Old Earth is essentially dead and forgotten.
No one knows old earth geography or names. Countries, continents etc.
PlanetForge is the terraforming company
X-Link is the premiere cybernetic implant chip necessary to live in Meridian city limits.
Very tropical, jungle-like climate near the coast (west) which gradually becomes more desert-like toward the canyon in the east.
Meridian Fault (Faultlands) is a town just outside the main city limits to the east. Incredibly hot, underprivileged but has Old Earth charm. Still very technologically advanced but more run down and slapped together.
These are just some overall facts about this world so we can be on the same page! Stay within these parameters (or get called crazy?) and it’s safe to begin developing your own lore and story within this world!
